Good for

  • No annual fee, for life.
  • 8% on e-hailing and online groceries, dining and food delivery, and streaming, up to RM18 each a month.
  • No Maybank overseas fee on card-present spend in Singapore, Thailand, Japan, South Korea and Indonesia.

Watch out

  • The 8% needs RM1,500 of spend in the statement month; below it, everything earns 0.2%.
  • Each 8% category is full at RM225 of spend; spend past it earns nothing.
  • Government and utility payments earn no cash back.
  • Cash back is paid in whole ringgit, rounded down, so you can get up to RM0.99 a month less than the calculator shows.

What it earns

Cash back, as a share of what you spend.

  • Counts toward the minimum: every billed purchase, except the ones below.
  • Does not count: Utilities, Government / LHDN / JPJ, JomPAY / FPX / DuitNow to billers, Touch 'n Go reloads, Grab top-up / GrabPay, Boost top-up, ShopeePay top-up and MAE / other e-wallet.

Getting your cash back

How it's paid
Each statement month, rounded down to RM1 Supplementary card spend is added to the principal's, and the cash back goes to the principal card. The T&C do not give a payment date.
Which month counts
The statement month, by posting date Spend, the RM1,500 minimum and the RM18 caps count per statement cycle. A purchase posted in the next cycle counts in that cycle.
When you lose it
If you close the card or fall behind Closing the card account forfeits cash back built up. Maybank can withhold or cancel it for an overdue, delinquent, closed, investigated or disputed account, and reverses it on refunds.
