Good for

  • PETRONAS fuel and Setel: 12% back when your statement balance is RM4,000 or more, 6% from RM1,500.
  • Groceries, dining and parking: 6% from RM4,000, 3% from RM1,500. 1% back abroad with no cap.
  • No annual fee. 4 Plaza Premium visits a year.

Watch out

  • Each bonus group is capped at RM60 per statement: one for PETRONAS, one for groceries, dining and parking.
  • Below a RM1,500 statement balance nothing earns, and other spend never earns.
  • Needs RM120,000 a year in income (RM60,000 through CIMB@Work). Not on Apple Pay.
  • Cash back is paid in whole ringgit, rounded down, so you can get up to RM0.99 a month less than the calculator shows.

What it earns

  • Counts toward the minimum: every billed purchase. Government / LHDN / JPJ, JomPAY / FPX / DuitNow to billers, Touch 'n Go reloads, Grab top-up / GrabPay, Boost top-up, ShopeePay top-up and MAE / other e-wallet count but earn nothing.

Getting your cash back

How it's paid
Statement credit, next month Each month's cash rebate is rounded down to the whole ringgit and credited to your card account on the next month's statement. It pays the yearly facility charges first, then your purchases.
Which month counts
Your statement month The level, the two RM60 caps and the cash rebate are counted per statement cycle, up to the statement date. The level uses your statement balance, which counts any balance carried forward and subtracts payments made before the statement date.
When you lose it
Missed minimum payment Miss the minimum payment by the due date and that month's cash rebate is not credited on the next statement. A reversed transaction takes back its cash rebate, and the bank can cancel cash rebate on a disputed or fraudulent one.
